Khizra Mosque Supplementary School is a supplementary school, located in the heart of Manchester and we’re proud of our caring and inclusive environment. We have people from many ethnic backgrounds attending our centre.

We have high academic expectations, and making sure that all our children reach their potential and this is the key to everything we do. Our school is built on the belief that our students, their parents and  can learn, read and teach together to develop an excellent character.

What’s different about Khizra Mosque supplementary School is that our children are at the centre of everything we do and we never lose sight of this.

We want all our children to have a rewarding and enriching experience with us, and to leave us equipped to succeed and thrive in whatever they wish to do and work towards developing an excellent character.

Khizra Mosque Supplementary School is an outward looking school that relishes working with other schools and organisations. We are part of the United Kingdom Islamic Mission. In 2014 & 2015 we were awarded the best education excellence award in the UK under the UKIM.

We hope your children succeed at this centre and develop an excellent character. We believe that the supplementary school experience is not only about academic achievements but also in extra curricular activities. Hence you will find your child has the opportunity to excel academically and also in extra curricular activities. We hold regular competitions. A copy of our extracurricular activities is attached on the back page. We have recently started a homework club to help our children attending the school with their day time school academic activities taught by professional qualified local teachers.

We teach Islamic studies, Quran with Tajweed. Hifz and Arabic. We strongly believe that a child’s development in Islamic knowledge is not about completing the Quran but also to understand and implement its teaching and as a result you will find our children have regular assessments with reports for parents to keep them updated about there children’s progress. We have been a supplementary school for over 35 years in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester.

Timings of supplementary school 

We have children attending our school from the ages of 5-16 years and can then join our youth teams. Our intake of children is July each year with additional nursery intake for weekend children in January each year. Final date for submitting applications for entry to the school is 31st May and 30th November respectively.
